Today is a holiday dedicated to special people in everyone's life. Mother's Day in Ukraine is an opportunity to express gratitude and love for mothers. It is a special day dedicated to a very important person who plays an amazing role in every child's life. The mother is the first person who welcomes a new person into the world. This is the most important support in forming her sense of security, as well as in building emotional connections. Of course, the role of parents, who play many important roles in their children's lives, cannot be neglected. They are their children's caregivers, teachers, mentors, role models, and often best friends. Parents, participating in the lives of their children, helping them develop their talents, encouraging them to accept new challenges.

Mother's Day around the world

Mother's Day is a special holiday celebrated all over the world. In Ukraine, Mother's Day is celebrated on May 14, but it is worth remembering that in other countries it can be a completely different date. Not everyone knows that this special day is celebrated in different countries on different days, but it has the same essence everywhere, and above all, it is filled with pleasant experiences for all the celebrants. Therefore, it is worth starting the lesson with this topic in order to inspire students to expand their knowledge about the celebration of Mother's Day around the world. What customs and traditions are associated with the celebration in other countries, what gifts are usually given or what favorite activities do children and their mothers do on this special day. Some countries celebrate Mother's Day earlier, like Norway or Georgia, others later, like Indonesia, but in the end, everyone has their own day when we wish and give thanks. Below are the dates of Mother's Day celebration in different countries of the world:

On June 23, the day of the summer solstice, Father's Day is celebrated in the USA, Canada, Great Britain and many other countries, it is celebrated on the third Sunday of June. In Spain and Portugal, Father's Day is celebrated on March 19.

In the northern part of Spain, there is a tradition of giving mom breakfast in bed.
