Dysgraphia and dyslexia in children - auxiliary means of therapy

Dysgraphia is the inability to write correctly from the point of view of graphics. A child struggling with this type of difficulty gets tired very quickly when writing, and their handwriting becomes completely or somewhat illegible. Dysgraphia is most commonly diagnosed by illegible writing, problems with forming letters correctly, uneven spacing between letters and words, inability to write in lines, slanted handwriting, or skipping of words.
Working with the written word requires appropriate motor skills, knowledge of the language, as well as the interpretation of what we see and hear. Different types of graphomotor exercises are useful for improving a child's handwriting. These are, for example, aids for dysgraphia therapy, such as games that teach you to draw patterns evenly, and exercises that teach graphoperception, which consists in stimulating the right and left hemispheres of the brain. Books that are a collection of various and interesting graphomotor exercises with methodical commentary often work well. When children master the fine motor skills of the hand, they should be taught vocabulary and the ability to pronounce correctly. Only when children are well acquainted with the rules of correct spelling can they be expected to be able to use them. Different types of games that teach how to correctly compose sentences, puzzles, dominoes or verbal express, designed specifically for working with children with dyslexia, will help here. Didactic aids that enrich and develop a child's vocabulary, such as the game "Words and Sentences", help him combine pleasant entertainment with learning important content.
Dysgraphia and dyslexia in children is a disease that requires patient work. It is necessary for the child to spend much more time than his peers on training fine motor skills, memorizing correct spelling and reading books. An excellent support in working on this problem for a child is properly selected sets of exercises and games, during which working on one's own shortcomings will become fun for him.
