Tactile skills in children - teaching aids

Touch disorders are divided into three categories. First, it is hyperreactivity, which is characterized by the fact that the child avoids touch and reacts very sharply to random, light touches. The opposite is the attitude of children who do not notice touch, which is called underreactivity. The last category consists of children who seek sensory impressions, carry out excessive tactile and motor activity.
Children with sensory disorders are very sensitive and need the right tools to stimulate the nervous system. Functional tactile skills in children should be supported by educational aids designed to teach children that touch does not cause pain, is not a cause for anger, but is a sense that can be used in a useful way, for example, to develop their passions, abilities and talents. Educational tools that will be used for this purpose include, among others, games that teach the recognition of objects by touch, various thematic games in which children must match the shapes in the right places, as well as all books and tabs in which tactile perception is physically fit. Exercises aimed at developing this skill are also possible thanks to tactile dominoes or Memory, special cubes and numbers. Sensory bears filled with various contents and sensory peas introduce children to touch. Stimulation of the child's tactile activity is supported by sensory balls, sensory rings, foam and plastic mats and massage tools. Kinetic sand is one of children's favorite objects for teaching touch.
Touch disorders have a significant impact on children's cognitive, emotional and social development, so it is important to ensure that children learn to overcome all their small and large childhood difficulties through safe, friendly and professional screening exercises. Medicinal products develop children's motility, coordinate the work of visual and tactile perception, and also stimulate the nervous system and train memory.
