From the beginning of the full-scale invasion until the beginning of this school year, almost 1.5 million children have not attended a single day of school. Now, according to preliminary estimates, this number has decreased to almost 950,000 children. More than 500,000 Ukrainian children are still abroad and studying remotely. Another 1.2 million Ukrainian schoolchildren study in a mixed form: part of the classes are conducted online, part - in person.

In such conditions, the issue of digitalization of education becomes extremely urgent. After all, not all students and even not all teachers have their own personal device for learning.

What does MES currently offer?

At the August 2023 conference, a separate panel was devoted to the digitization of education in Ukraine. Speakers and participants talked about the role of information technology in education and learned how to use modern digital tools in lessons, including:

1. Possibilities of the platform "Action. Education", where tests, interactive simulators, educational series, webinars are available. Materials cover approximately 50 professions.

2. The program of the Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE project "Debureaucratization of education management in Ukraine" is aimed at the modernization of the automated information complex of educational management (AICOM), electronic interaction, national registration of children, changes to regulatory and legal acts, e-bookkeeping, etc.

3. Free mobile application for elementary school "Learning - not waiting". The application can be used at home, at school or remotely, individually or with the whole class, in Ukraine and anywhere in the world, and it also works without a constant Internet connection.
