School starts on September 1, but not all students will start the new school year offline

The organization of the educational process will depend on the specific security situation in each settlement. That is, the academic year may end earlier than June 24, 2024, depending on the specific settlement.

According to the Minister of Education of Ukraine Oksena Lisovoho, as of July 2023, 75% of schools are equipped with shelters, but this does not mean that 75% of students can return to school. Not all schools have shelters designed for the number of students in the schools.

And according to the data of the special platform saveschools.in.ua, 3,750 educational institutions were affected by bombings and shelling. At the same time, 361 of them were completely destroyed. This resource of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine documents and provides statistics of destroyed Ukrainian educational institutions in real time. In addition to the schools themselves, this resource takes into account destroyed kindergartens, former vocational schools and other institutions of secondary and preschool education.

According to operational data of local management bodies in the field of education, more than 506 thousand education seekers continue to stay abroad today. Today, the tendency for education seekers to return to Ukraine is insignificant.
