Educational and methodological tools - hearing impairment in children
Properly developed hearing allows you to perceive, identify and differentiate sounds. A child learns about the world through his senses. Hearing disorders cause difficulties in its functioning, often increase with age. The older the child, the more new challenges await him and the more skills expected of him. Hearing impairments in children cause problems with the development of proper reading, writing and speaking skills. A lower level of auditory synthesis significantly limits the development of auditory memory, which can cause, for example, difficulties in writing dictations, learning the multiplication table or reciting poems.
Different methodological tools and auditory games are used to stimulate auditory perception in case of hearing impairment. In working on the auditory memory, omnomatomopeia can help, that is, onomatopoeic expressions, for example, in the form of colored cards with a signed sound that corresponds to the image on the card. Electronic aids are also extremely useful for hearing training. Kids love a game called Sound Memory where you match pairs of blocks that make the same sounds. In turn, in the game "World of sounds + CD", the child must match the reproduced sound with the image shown in the illustration. We also have a 'Whisper Phone' which allows your child to hear their own spoken language.
Auditory perception is stimulated through intensive training of auditory sensitivity, rhythmic games and auditory concentration exercises. It is extremely important to give your child as much time, attention and patience as possible - practice makes perfect. Involving different types of games will make listening learning interesting and enjoyable for the child, and the development of relevant speaking, reading and listening memory skills will begin to develop naturally.
