A game for cerebellar stimulation. Basic level. For children from 5 years old.
The classic balancing board from TM MENTAL (Ukraine) is an unstable rectangular board located on semicircular rollers with the possibility of changing the angle of rotation.

The surface of the board is marked in the form of stickers. This marking is necessary for the uniform distribution of the child's body weight when standing on the board, the location of the feet equidistant from the central axis of the board. The surface of the stickers has a rough structure (such roughness prevents the feet from sliding on the surface). Material: high-quality moisture-resistant plywood, can withstand a load of up to 120 kg.

The main task of balancing equipment is to stimulate the activity of the vestibular apparatus and develop proprioception (sensing the position of parts of one's own body relative to each other) in children.
Maintaining balance while standing on a balancing board and performing exercises is not easy at all. To achieve the maximum effect, it is recommended to practice (play on the board) every day for 5-10 minutes.
Classes on balancing equipment not only strengthen the muscles of the whole body and are good for the spine.

Results of balancing exercises with a board:
- development of a sense of balance;
- stimulation of the vestibular apparatus;

Cerebellar stimulation and sensory integration
The cerebellum is a small brain that occupies only 10% of the entire brain, but 50% of all neurons are located there. The main function of the cerebellum is the control of movement coordination, muscle tone and maintaining balance. But in addition, the cerebellum serves as the basis for sensorimotor development, which depends on the success of mastering language, reading, arithmetic, and participates in the processes of formation and automation of other skills (including educational ones).
Thus, the cerebellum is involved in all cognitive and social processes. If skills are not formed, then every time the child's brain perceives certain information, it considers it as new and spends a lot of energy on building a response model and implementing it. The cerebellum, on the other hand, allows you to use previously mastered, ready-made response models. So, for example, with dysfunctions of the cerebellum, we can observe difficulties with fine and gross motor skills (does not jump, jumps poorly, does not catch, does not throw a ball, cannot hold a pen, pencil, etc.), difficulties in learning speech, writing and reading

What processes are affected by cerebellar stimulation:
- sensory integration (in particular, building a 3D model of the world)
- orientation in space
- interhemispheric interaction
- sense of time and sense of rhythm
- sequence and smoothness of movements
- binocular vision
- proprioception
- reading, writing and math skills
- pace and fluency of speech

Cerebellar stimulation of immobility is the same for:
- dyslexia, difficulty learning reading skills
- attention deficit syndrome
- dyspraxia and movement coordination problems
- dysgraphia and dyscalculia
- violations of oral and written speech
- sensory information processing problems

Psychological component of training on balancing equipment
The one who has found confidence in balance will cope with any situation. We develop the ability to enter existing situations and given conditions and adapt to them. Children who feel insecure in this area often pass on new situations and agree to start something new only if they have a complete overview of what is happening, which is sometimes completely impossible. Therefore, they often avoid everything new and unknown.
A sense of balance provides another important feature. This is an extremely important ability of a sense of balance, as it gives an opportunity to develop a certain pole of calm in relation to moving phenomena. Thanks to this pole of peace, we can perceive something without losing ourselves. This pole of calmness is thus an important foundation of mindfulness. If children have not sufficiently developed it, then every movement they perceive and every communication captivates them, and they instantly give themselves over to it. And then the activity they were engaged in before turns out to be interrupted. No mindfulness is possible without this pole of calm, supported by a sense of balance.
By the way, this pole of rest is also the starting point for our own movements. If it is well formed, then these movements are usually very focused and well controlled. If it is poorly developed, then the movements are more diffuse. In addition, children with a poorly developed pole of rest when walking poorly assess their own speed and therefore more often collide with others.
This equipment is an indispensable tool for working with gravitational uncertainty, fear of heights and fear of flying.

Fear of heights, in turn, is associated with fear of depth, fear of darkness, fear of closed spaces, and fear of loneliness. When we work on one fear, we work with the whole connection in parallel.
