The O'Connor finger dexterity test requires the hands to place 3 pins in a hole. This test has been successfully used as a predictor for rapid manipulation of small objects, such as when working on an assembly line. It has also been found useful in predicting success in tool work such as assembling armatures, miniature watch parts, quick hand and eye work, filling vials and small turning jobs.
