Design features of the GP-5 gas mask
The front part consists of:
rubber case (helmet-mask) with fairings;
eyeglass assembly with round flat lenses,
valve box with inhalation and exhalation valves.
Additionally, it is equipped with special films and insulating cuffs. This helps prevent inconveniences such as fogging and freezing of the glass.
The principle of operation of the gas mask
The front part of the civilian gas mask GP-5 ensures the supply of purified air to the respiratory organs. In addition, it also guarantees protection of the face's eyes from exposure to poisonous, radioactive substances and bacterial (biological) agents.
