The Rivermead Perceptual Assessment Technique (RPAB), a standardized assessment, measures levels of perception across a wide age range. RPAB can be used to assess a patient's level of visual impairment after a stroke or head injury, which plays an important role in determining rehabilitation.
The Rivermead Cognitive Impairment Assessment Kit is used to initially assess a client's visual perception prior to treatment. The results can be used to develop an appropriate treatment plan.
Visual perception deficits were calculated by comparing the visual perception scores of clients estimated to have the same premorbid level of intelligence.
The test includes 16 subtests.
