Montessori cylinder blocks MENTAL
This activity is designed to develop the sensory and visual perception of changes in quantity and to develop logical thinking in babies.
The set includes 4 wooden blocks with 10 differently sized indentations and 40 cylinders that correspond to the indentations. Each cylinder has a handle and a small bead.
In the first block, the cylinders are chosen by diameter at the same height, in the second block, by height with the same diameter, in the third block, the diameter and height of the cylinders decrease uniformly, and in the fourth block, the height increases and the diameter decreases.
The purpose of the classes is to understand the difference in size and determine the correct ratio of pairs. The child can independently control the correctness of the task, as each cylinder fits exactly into its recess.
Working with these blocks helps to develop fine motor skills and prepare the hand for holding a pencil properly. The child holds the cylinder by the handle with three fingers, which is an important stage in the further development of speech.
