The device for determining the thermal expansion of metals is used to demonstrate the linear expansion of solids with increasing temperature in physics lessons.

Features of the equipment
The device consists of a metal base on which a clip with metal samples resting on arrows of different colours is fixed. The scale has marks from 0 to 10 for quantitative comparison of the relative expansion of the samples.
