The model program for biology for the 6th grade within the framework of the New Ukrainian School (NUS) aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of living organisms, their structure, life processes, diversity, and interactions with the environment.

Main objectives of the program:

• Study of the structure and organization of cells, their role in the life of organisms.
• Knowledge of the main organs and systems of the human body and other living beings.
• Understanding of organisms' adaptations to various environmental conditions.
• Basics of maintaining and preserving health.

MODERN EQUIPMENT FOR BIOLOGY IN NUSH: 6-7  GRADE
"MENTAL" methodologists made several options for equipment sets for biology lessons in 6th and 7th grades of NUS. All of them meet the current requirements of the Ministry of Education and Culture, contain only high-quality and practically useful equipment and devices for lessons. "Starter" - contains basic demonstration models (such as plant cell structure, leaf structure, chlamydomonas, etc.), herbariums (plant morphology, wild plants and agricultural plants, etc.), collections compiled in accordance with the requirements of the National Academy of Sciences. In addition, the set includes basic accessories for practical experiments: a school laboratory set for the biology room, a set of micropreparations, tools for preparation and a microscope for examining samples.
"Basic" - supplemented with a larger number of demonstration models, collections and herbariums necessary for effective teaching, which will fully satisfy the teacher's needs for demonstration teaching aids.
"Optimal" - supplemented with everything necessary for practical experiments with equipment and utensils, devices. It also contains educational informational posters and stands and a modern digital weather station for experiments and observations of natural processes.
"Optimal +" - has almost the same composition as the previous set, but it contains not 1, but 2 modern biological microscopes: for more convenient use in classes and the possibility of organizing work in groups, as education at NUS provides.
"Advanced" - the advanced set is supplemented with a modern interactive display and special educational software, allowing the teacher to fully use the interactive component.
"Maximum" - extended equipment, supplemented with three different types of microscopes, completes the complete equipment of the biology room for mastering the updated curriculum and conducting even additional practical research or experiments.
